A Scripture and a Prayer: “The Goodness of God”

“For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.” (Psalm 86:5)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, what a wonderful reminder of Your unfailing and ever-present love for us, in that everything that You do is for our good, and that Your thoughts towards us are not to harm but to prosper and to give us a hope and a future. But even more than that, You are ever ready to forgive all our sins and cleanse us from all our iniquity, and that Your mercies are new towards us every morning. Thank you, Lord, for giving such a wonderful promise. AMEN
