Regaining Hope

Thought for Today: “Regaining Hope”

Besides air, water, and food, hope is a necessity of life. We must have hope.  We cannot live without it. Hope is the last thing to die; it’s the last emotion within us. Therefore, it is essential to maintain hope when everything around us seems hopeless.

Society is suffering from lost hope. Most people really don’t hope for the best, instead they just kind of hope the worst won’t happen. Or something worse, they feel like they’re at the end of their rope, and they’re struggling with depression, despair, and discouragement.

Without hope the spirit dies within. Solomon says that hope deferred makes the heart sick (Proverbs 13:12).

The hope we need is something that only the Lord can provide through the working of the Holy Spirit within.

Paul said, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

To regain lost hope, let’s ask the Holy Spirit to renew and revive our hearts and spirits to give you a brand-new beginning.
