A Scripture and a Prayer: “Our Father’s Good Pleasure”

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)

Prayer:

As Christmas is upon us, I look at the promise of our Heavenly Father, and that is the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Heaven, and then I realize that there truly is nothing to fear, because if God is for us, then who can be against us, and what can anyone do to us, because the Lord has graciously given us heaven once this life is over. And while we are still here, the Lord has said, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Therefore, may I always remember the Lord’s care and compassion and that He will carry us through this life and into an eternity with Him. AMEN
