A Scripture and a Prayer: “Jesus Cares”

“A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory.” (Matthew 12:20)

Prayer:

Lord, what a beautiful promise You have given, that while we may be at the end of my rope, broken and ready to expire, You will not cut off, break, or put out. Lord, please lift us out of the muck and the mire of this world and set our feet upon the solid ground of Your salvation. Thank you for Your loving kindness and the tenderness of Your care. And when we find ourselves in a trial that seems too great to bear, hide us under the shadow of Your wings, and carry us to the heights of Your amazing love. And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
