Scripture and a Prayer: “Hide and Seek”

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” (Psalm 139:7)

Prayer:

Lord, I remember so vividly my childhood when we use to play, “Hide and Seek.” We would find the best hiding place where nobody could find us. Unfortunately, this is a game that we often play with You, where You call us to do or not to do something and we try to hide, not physically, but mentally and spiritually. Sometimes it’s through escapism into social media and entertainment, but it can also be through ministry where we hide ourselves thinking we’re doing something for You. But the truth is that there is nowhere to hide, and it’s better if we come out into the light of Your truth and love and follow You rather than trying to hide. Therefore, thank You Lord for loving us, and that Your presence continues to pursue us. AMEN
