Thought For Today: “EGR’s”
I have found that no matter where I am or what I am doing, and then whom I am with and working with, there are going to be those who need some extra time and loving. And I also realize that this may describe me as well.
I call these people, as well as myself, “EGR’s,” that is, Extra Grace Required people, and this isn’t by chance, because we all need grace extended, and that’s because no one is perfect.
Grace is extending to others what they do not deserve. This is what the Lord has extended to us, His grace, that is, He extends to us His blessings and favor even though we don’t deserve it.
We see this in what the Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Therefore, realizing that we’re all ERG’s let’s be courteous, giving honor and preference to each other, as the Apostle Paul says, “Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.” (Romans 12:10)
