Thought For Today: Choosing the Right Company
“I hate double-minded people, but I love your law… Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!” (Psalm 119:113, 115)
To concentrate upon God and His calling for our lives the Psalmist is telling us to stay away from those who influence us the wrong way.
The Apostle Paul tells this same thing saying, “Bad company corrupts good character,” and to Timothy Paul say, “Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” (1 Corinthians 15:33; 2 Timothy 2:22)
The idea is that to choose the right company we have to be around those who believe in Jesus Christ more than we are around those who don’t know God and are evil in their intentions.
