A Scripture and a Prayer: “Believe and be Comforted”
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” (John 14:1)
Prayer:
Lord, You said to the prophet Isaiah, “Comfort Ye, Comfort Ye My people.” This is what we as Your people are calling out to You at this time, as depression, distress, disease, and death seem to be more of the norm than the exception. Jesus, You tell us not to be so anxiety driven that we lose the peace that You have given saying, “My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives,” and that’s because it’s a peace that surpasses all human understanding. And so, Lord Jesus, we believe in You, and ask that You fill us to overflowing with Your peace. AMEN
