Jesus is Coming Back – Are We Ready?

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” (Matthew 25:13)

Jesus’s second coming is affirmed throughout the Bible. Jesus is coming back; the question is will we be ready?

This statement by Jesus follows His parable of the wise and foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-12). Half will be ready when He comes, the other half will miss it. Jesus’s advice is for us to watch and wait by having our lamps filled with oil and our lights shining. In other words, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit letting the light of Jesus shine through us so that when He comes, we’ll neither be surprised or ashamed.

Jesus said upon His return, “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8b)
