A Scripture and a Prayer: “A Heart Empowered”

“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.” (Ephesians 3:16)

Prayer:

Lord, help us realize that to have a Spirit filled heart is to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to accomplish what we could never could on our own. Within each of us you say there is tremendous power. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20) Therefore, Lord, it is in the power of the Holy Spirit that You place within our hearts what enables us to walk upon the narrow road, confess and turn away from our sins, and to live in spiritual victory. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that enables us to stop living for the world and start living for You. So, today we ask that You fill us afresh with the Holy Spirit where we can truly have our hearts ablaze with Your glory for all to see. And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
