A Scripture and a Prayer: “By God’s Grace”

“By the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10)

Prayer:

Lord, realizing that it is by Your grace and Your grace alone that we are what we are, and that is, Your children. You said that it is by grace we have been saved, and not by anything that we might do, because if it is, then it isn’t by Your grace. Since our salvation is by Your grace, so then is our sanctification, that is, our maturing and growing in our faith through Your sufficiency. So, we give You thanks for Your marvelous and amazing grace that is working both in and through us, and that all that we do is by Your grace. Therefore, may all that we are, and all that we do bring You both praise and glory. And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
