A Scripture and a Prayer: “He Lifted Me”

“He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.” (Psalm 40:2)

Prayer:

Dear Lord, precious is Your name and love towards us, knowing that there is no pit of despair that is so deep, nor so filled with muck and mire that You are not there to reach down and rescue. Lord, at these times please fulfill Your promise and lift us out and place our feet upon the solid rock of Jesus Christ, Your Son. And during these times I humbly ask that You comfort with patience to wait upon You. AMEN
