Thought for Today: “Whose Dream Was It?”
When a dream dies, whose dream was it?
Recently I was reading a testimony of how devastated a person was at a loss of the dream they had for their lives. They talked about how situations had changed, and their dream dissipated. They then talked about how we are to mourn over its loss.
But whose dream was it? If it was God’s dream, then while there may have been setbacks, it never would have been lost. God’s promise is that He will fulfill what He has designed for our lives. It may look different than what we imagined, but then again, whose dream was it?
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)
So instead of mourning, let us rejoice that God loves us so much that He won’t allow us to travel down a road that He hasn’t designed for us to take.
Joshua said, “You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.” (Joshua 23:14)
