Thought For Today: “Use Every Opportunity for God”
In the parable of the Good Samaritan, when the Samaritan came across a Jewish man that had been mugged, he had compassion and took time along with his own money to care for him.
Jesus said this is what it means to love your neighbor as yourself, which He likened to the first commandment to love the Lord God with the whole of our being, or what is known as the Great Commandment (Luke 10:25-37).
The choices we make to love others are what makes the difference. Will we love, even when others don’t love us? Will our actions be grace led, or greed motivated?
The Bible says, “Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone” (Colossians 4:5-6).
Therefore, let’s keep loving God and others, and let’s keep praying and watching with great expectation.
