Thought For Today: “The Virtue of Patience”
Solomon gives us this piece of advice about life.
“The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.” (Ecclesiastes 7:8)
Patience in the face of a problem is not easy, but it will yield more in the end than moving ahead in our pride without God.
The Bible says that whoever is patient has great understanding and, in the end, will reap a bountiful harvest (Proverbs 14:29; Galatians 6:9).
Patience will also give us the strength to accomplish our life goals
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Therefore, be patient with the problems that come with life, knowing that God is testing our faith. When we do, we will, in the end, be perfect, complete, and lacking nothing (James 1:2-4).
