A Scripture and a Prayer: “The Soul’s Anchor”

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.” (Hebrews 6:19-20a)

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for dying upon the cross to be that anchor for our souls. An anchor You offered in heaven through Your blood as You entered the most Holy Place obtaining our eternal redemption. Help us, therefore, not to slip this anchor and find ourselves spiritually drifting away beyond Your appointed destination. Therefore, may we give more earnest heed to this precious promise You have given. And so, once again we say thank you. AMEN
