Thought For Today: “The Prophecy of Praise”
Most who attend church give little if any attention to the singing of worship and praise. Many see it as a service filler used to allow those who are late enough time to get seated to hear the message.
But the praise and worship portion of the service is so much more. It is our declaration and expression of our love for God.
Consider the words of the Chronicler.
“David, together with the commanders of the army, set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun for the ministry of prophesying, accompanied by harps, lyres and cymbals.” (1 Chronicles 25:1)
The use of the word “prophesy” is revealing. Our time of praise and worship brings God’s revelation.
Therefore, come to church with an expectant heart, and sing forth praise to God, and allow God to speak His word to your heart.
