A Scripture and a Prayer: “Seeking God’s Face”

“When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ My heart said to You, ‘Your face, Lord, I will seek’ … One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek … to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.” (Psalm 27:8, 4)

Prayer:

Lord, I can think of nothing better than to seek You. In the prayer You commanded to be spoken over Your people, You said, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” Therefore, Lord, please turn Your face towards us and be gracious as we seek You. And may we see Your beauty in this wonderful inquiry, as Moses requested and saw Your glory. I thank you Lord, for this wonderful promise and blessing this day. AMEN
