Thursday’s Scripture and a Prayer: “Reconsider Trials”

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis 50:20)

Prayer:

Dear Lord, please keep us from evil, as You taught us in Your prayer in how we are to ask to be delivered from evil. But I know that You, Lord Jesus, said that we will experience trials and tribulations in this life. I humbly ask, therefore, that when these trials come that our faith may remain firm in You and the truth of Your word that says that You work all things together for our good. And so, help us to reconsider the motivation of others and trust in your all-sufficient grace and mercy. AMEN
