Thought for Today: “Questioning God’s Word”

“Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” (Genesis 3:1b)

Anyone who puts a question mark behind the word of God instead of an exclamation point is being played by the devil. When we question God’s word we are then standing in judgment of it, God’s word is actually standing in judgment on us.

Jesus said, “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him–the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.” (John 12:48)

Eve’s mistake was getting into a debate with Satan. But instead of debating him, we should be resisting and rejecting him, along with his accusations and temptations.

The Bible says, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7)
