Thought For Today: “Personalize for Hope”

Need some hope?

To help when we feel down and discouraged take what God has written down in His Word, the Bible, and personalize it. God’s word is God’s love letter to each one of us. So instead of reading it in some detached way that doesn’t relate, let’s attach ourselves to it by putting our name and situation into what the Lord is saying.

Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

If Paul can be strengthened in what he was going through, so can we. So, we can personalize God’s word to our situation and life saying, “I can handle and live through this (betrayal, sickness, situation) because Jesus gives me the strength to go through it … I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Let hope flow through God’s word spoken directly into our hearts.
