A Scripture and a Prayer: “Peace Through Jesus”

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Prayer:

In this world so filled with conflict between nations, ethnic groups, political affiliation, and relationships where there is no lasting peace, it is so good to know that You, Lord Jesus, through Your death and resurrection bring that peace that is so longed for to those who believe in You. And while conflict rages all around us, You bring that peace to reign in our hearts. And so, Lord Jesus, let Your peace envelop us in these times of great trial and tribulation designed by Satan to bring confusion and war in every area of our lives. Reign in our hearts today, and let Your peace rule in our hearts as we cast all our cares and anxieties upon You. And this I humbly ask in Your name Lord Jesus. AMEN
