Thought For Today: “Peace in Jesus”

Jesus is all about peace. He’s the Prince of peace, His gospel is the message of peace, all who believe in Him enjoy His peace, and have peace with God.

Of the Messiah, Jesus, the prophet Isaiah said, “And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.” (John 14:27)

And again, Jesus tells us, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

And the Apostle Paul said, “Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)

Therefore, let’s not be lulled into a false sense of peace that the world is trying to offer us through all its psychology and self-help strategies. Instead, let’s give our lives over and follow the true God of Peace, Jesus, knowing that perfect peace only comes through Him.
