Thought For Today: “Our Great Value”

We are of great value. We are of great worth because our value isn’t in what we own, but rather in who owns us.

Value isn’t determined by the price tag; rather it’s based upon who owns it and what someone is willing to pay for it. These are what create value.

We are of great value because we belong to God.

“But you belong to God, my dear children.” (1 John 4:4)

Next, we’re of great value because we were bought with a price, because Jesus paid the price through His death upon the cross.

The Apostle Paul said, “You were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.” (1 Corinthians 6:20)

And the Apostle Peter said, “You were not redeemed with corruptible things … but with the precious blood of Christ.” (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Therefore, our value as Christians is based upon our relationship with God and the price Jesus paid for that relationship.
