Thought For Today: “Look for the Bounce Back”
Nothing tests a person’s resolve like trials and tribulations. While we all go through these times, as Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulation” (John 16:33), the question is whether we will persevere.
If we try to resolve these on our own, we won’t. But if we resolve them by the strength and ability the Lord gives us, we will succeed.
Despite severe persecution and a debilitating disease, Paul was still able to say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Jesus also told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
No matter what we’re going through, let’s keep looking to God. He will restore us even in our trials. And then let’s look for the bounce back.
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” (1 Peter 5:10)
