Thought For Today: “Living Holy Lives”

“But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’” (1 Peter 1:15-16)

God has called us to a holy life, and this call to a holy life is based in Him.

God is holy and therefore He cannot excuse or overlook sin, no matter how we like to excuse it away. But God doesn’t accept our excuses.

When we begin to live holy lives, lives separated from the world and lives lived unto the Lord God, then people will begin to see the faith we proclaim is real.

Unholy and inconsistent lives lived for Christ does far greater damage to the gospel message than we realize. We pull down with our lives what we try to build up in what we say about God’s grace.
