Thought for Today: “Heart Over Mind”
It’s not what you know; it’s what you believe!
Knowing the holiness of God, the children of Israel asked Moses to act as a mediator between them and God. They promised to do everything that God told Moses.
And the Lord said, “They are right in all that they have spoken.” (Deuteronomy 5:28)
But then the Lord said, “Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever.” (Deuteronomy 5:29)
While our minds hold great ideals, it’s our hearts that put them into practice. It’s not the intelligence of the mind where we falter; rather, it’s the desire of the heart.
