A Scripture and a Prayer: “Hear Our Cry”
“O Lord, the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before you. May my prayer come before you; turn your ear to my cry.” (Psalm 88:1-2)
Prayer:
Lord, I realize what a dichotomy this prayer may be, that while we believe that You have saved us, we still cry out to You, day and night, in our distress. Further, knowing that You heard when we cried out to You for salvation, we find myself asking for You to hear our cry once again knowing that You always hear, and that You always save. And while we still believe, we are still a broken and cracked vessel in need of Your help. Therefore, as the father of the demon possessed son, we cry out to You, “Lord, (we) believe; help (our) unbelief!” So, thank you Lord for hearing and answering our cry. AMEN
