Thought for Today: “Hang In There”
Are any of you at this point like King David?
“Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled… My soul also is greatly troubled. I am weary with my groaning; all night I make my bed swim. I drench my couch with my tears.” (Psalm 6:2-3a, 6)
If this is you, then don’t despair. Look at what David goes on to say. “For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.” (Psalm 6:8b-9)
God knows and God hears our prayers, even though it may not seem like it when we’re going through these tough and difficult times.
We are told in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Therefore, let’s hang in there knowing that God loves us.
