Thought For Today: “God’s Method of Comfort”
God surrounds us with His grace when we extend His grace to others.
“(God) comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (2 Corinthians 1:4)
Through the trials we go though, we learn how to help care for others by understanding what they are going through, that is, we’ll be less judging and more loving, and be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Plus, when we minister to the needs of others, God ministers back unto us. And so, God surrounds us with His grace and mercy when we help others through their trials.
“My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)
