Thought For Today: “God’s Faithfulness”

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)

The foundation of our faithfulness is God’s faithfulness. The Lord is faithful to keep what only He can keep: His promises, especially His promise not to leave us but to keep us through hard and difficult times.

What’s neat about this is that God’s faithfulness doesn’t depend on us.

Paul says, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13)

Therefore, it’s time we start thanking God for His wonderful faithfulness.

Psalm 100:5 says, “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
