Thought For Today: “Giving Thanks During Tough Times”
When things don’t always go as planned, we can still be thankful, knowing that God is in control and will bring everything together for His good and glory.
“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Furthermore, we are told that in the grand scheme of things, these problems are minor and temporary, as God is working on something far greater within us for our eternal good (2 Corinthians 4:17).
Therefore, let’s take time to give thanks, knowing that God loves us and is working in our lives for eternal benefits, and that nothing can separate us from His love.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
