Thought For Today: “Faith to Break Our Doubts”

While science has broken the sound barrier, our faith breaks the doubt barrier.

Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.” (Matthew 21:21)

Yet many are stuck in the darkness of doubt and unbelief, unable to enter the light of faith that would lead them into eternity with God in heaven.

And the Apostle Paul calls doubt unbelief and uses Abraham as a positive example, saying, “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.” (Romans 4:20)

The Bible offers what might be considered faith’s quintessential definition, stating, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

And so, faith breaks the cycle of doubt and unbelief that keeps God from moving in our lives in a mighty way.
