Thought For Today: “Christ Our Hope”

The hope of every Christian lies in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and Jesus Christ within every Christian is their hope in glory.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3)

“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27)

Our hope is completely tied up in and comes through Jesus Christ. While on earth we conquer through Christ. When we die, we do so in Christ. Therefore, because of Jesus Christ we have eternal life in heaven.

And our hope is then secured in Christ Jesus as we look with great expectation and anticipation for His return.

“Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:13)
