A Scripture and a Prayer: “Blessings of Unity”

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)

Prayer:

Lord, we come to You with the realization that You are our creator and that You have created us for relationships, and it is Your heart and desire that we dwell in harmony with each other, rejoicing in our diversity yet unified in our faith in Christ and our purpose to expand Your Kingdom. In this world filled with strife and division, forgive us of our divisive attitudes that lead more toward separation than togetherness. Therefore, we humbly ask that You would pour our Your Spirit of unity and give us the strength to embrace others with compassion, grace, and love, and may the peace of Jesus fill our hearts to be ready and willing to extend to others the grace and forgiveness You have extended to us. And this we ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
