A Scripture and a Prayer: “Beyond Sight”

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

Prayer:

Lord, we come to You confessing our frailty and struggle to possess this type of faith that is pleasing to You. As the world bombards us with what it considers are the visible realities of life, may we instead fix our eyes solely upon You and Your promises, that while they may not be seen, they are more real than the visible. Therefore, help us to approach our days through the lens and with the eyes of faith, assured that Your word and promises are true and never waivers. Pour out the Holy Spirit into our hearts and produce within us steadfast faith and hope to counter the world’s doubts and fears. And this we ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
