Thought For Today: “Wanted: Revival”

While millions watch with dread what is happening in our world through natural and man-made disasters, little, if any, thought is given to the hundreds of thousands of souls that enter hell and a Christless eternity.

The media run no banner headlines about the eternal torment these souls now must endure. Instead, sex and immorality are sold to the highest bidders, with the lowest moral standards. And while the church remains largely silent about the ungodly activities in our world, the media wax poetic about society’s intoxication with immorality.

They call it entertainment, and they sell and broadcast it to our children and youth. Literally, our society is entertaining its inhabitants into hell. We might say the world is going to hell in a hurry, and America is leading the way.

We need another revival or reformation to halt this slippery downward slide we’re on.

“Will You not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You?” (Psalm 85:6)
