A Scripture and a Prayer: “Transformed by the Spirit”

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Prayer:

Lord, I pray that when we look in the mirror or when others look at us, the reflection they see is not just us but Jesus Christ living within us. Therefore, help us stop conforming to this sin-darkened world, and instead, through Your Holy Spirit, keep transforming us more and more into Your wonderful image. May others see in us the beauty of Your love, peace, grace, and mercy for their lives. So, like the song, “Make Me Like You,” may our prayer today be, “Lord, I am willing to do what You must do, make me like You, Lord, make me like You.”
