A Scripture and a Prayer: “Get Untangled”

“Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1)

Prayer:

Lord, we cannot thank you enough for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, who, though His death upon the cross, has set us free from the bondage of the Law, not to mention the bondages of this world. But You never did this so that we can live for ourselves, according to our selfish wishes and desires, but so that we can live for You and for Your Kingdom. Jesus, You said, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” And it is when seek Your kingdom before our own or the worlds, when we identify with Christ’s death, accepting Him as my Savior and Lord, that is when we will be set free from the power of sin (Romans 6:7). And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
