Thought for Today: “The Greatest Buffet Ever”

Throughout human history there has been great feast served up by kings, emperors, and royalty of all sorts. They had exotic foods from around the world, and many would take days to serve.

And not to be outdone, there are buffets in many of the larger hotels in vacation locations around the world that are known for their lavish offerings. Living in Las Vegas I ate at some of them.

But in heaven there is going to be the greatest feast or buffet ever known to man, and those that are invited will get to eat the greatest food of all time.

And the invite comes by faith in Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.

“Then the angel said to me, ‘Write: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ And he added, ‘These are the true words of God.’” (Revelation 19:9)

This is going to be a great feast; you might say that it is going to be the mother of all buffets. And Jesus said that there will be many, Jew and Gentile, who will take their places next to such notables as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Matthew 8:11).
