A Scripture and a Prayer: “Our Real Enemy”

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12)

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for the victory we have in You. But help us understand that in this battle we do not fight against people who may come against us or who believe differently, but our battle is spiritual not physical. We war instead against spiritual forces of wickedness. We war against Satan and his demonic forces. But as we do, we need to remember that You have already won the war when You died for our sins and rose from the dead. Let us also understand that greater are You within us, than anything that Satan can throw at us, and that we are more than conquerors through Your love for us. Therefore, help us fight this battle with the armor You have given, and through the Holy Spirit. AMEN
