Thought for Today: “Trusting God”
Back in the early days of Calvary Chapel I heard the Jewish singing group, “Lamb,” in concert. There was one song that stood out, it was called, “As the Mountains.”
“As the mountains are around Jerusalem, the Lord is all around His people.
From this time forth and forevermore, the Lord is all around His people.
Like Mount Zion in the midst of Jerusalem, we cannot be move.
From this time forth and forever more, the Lord is all around His people.”
It’s taken from Psalm 125.
“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.” (Psalm 125:1-2)
I pray that the Lord would surround and protect us like the mountains that surround Jerusalem, and that just as Mount Zion is in the midst of Jerusalem that the Lord would be in our midst.
