Thought For Today: “God’s Word is Trustworthy”
“O Lord, you are righteous, and your regulations are fair. Your laws are perfect and completely trustworthy… Your laws are always right; help me to understand them so I may live.” (Psalm 119:137-138, 144)
God’s word is trustworthy, so much so that when we follow it, when we live our lives according to it, then we’ll be able to live life to the fullest, that is, live our lives fulfilling God’s plans and purposes.
The Lord said, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11)
To connect with these plans, we have to get connected to God through His word, which gives to us the way that we are to live, and the path we are to take.
Since God’s word is trustworthy, and can be trusted to guide our lives, therefore, we really don’t need to add anything to it.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
