Time To Take A Stand
It’s time we stop talking about what’s wrong and start doing something about it.
Edmund Burke said, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”
The problem is that those who know what is right fail to speak out when wrong is being promoted. Politicians seldom make the right decision because good men and women fail to stand up and fight for what is right.
The Lord said, “They spout empty words and make promises they don’t intend to keep. So perverted justice springs up among them like poisonous weeds in a farmer’s field” (Hosea 10:4).
Today we’re seeing the promotion of one evil after another, and while Christians say they’re against it; we seldom do anything to stop it. We don’t take a stand.
And so evil continues to go unchecked in our country and communities.
Jesus said, “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me” (Matthew 15:8).
Today most Christians vote not according to God’s word, but according to what they feel is right, or what they are told is right by others, and while they say they love God and believe in Him, they deny Him by their actions.
I saw a person holding a sign the other day saying that they’re for something that goes directly against God’s word, and then the had the audacity to say they’re Christian and those who are against what they promote should get over it. This is a perfect example of someone who spouts empty words of belief while perverting God’s word.
Why am I saying this?
“But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand” (Ezekiel 33:6).
