The Lost Book
The Bible is the best selling book of all times, and while it sits in most every home, and is found in most hotel/motel rooms, it is a lost book.
When cleaning out God’s House, the High Priest said, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.” (2 Kings 22:8)
The Book of the Law was always there, but never found. It was lost.
This is the testimony of the American church.
The Bible needs to be found again and followed.
When the Book of the Law was found and read to King Josiah it says that he tore his clothes and went to inquire of the Lord saying, “Go, inquire of the Lord for me, for the people and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found; for great is the wrath of the Lord that is aroused against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.” (2 Kings 22:13)
Charles Haddon Spurgeon, a renowned Baptist preacher and author in the 1800’s said about the Bible: “I would recommend you either believe God up to the hilt, or else not to believe at all. Believe this book of God, every letter of it, or else reject it. There is no logical standing place between the two. Be satisfied with nothing less.”
