A Scripture and a Prayer: “Our Strong Tower”

“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.” (Psalm 9:10)

Prayer:

Lord, You said that Your name is a strong tower, and the righteous, run into it and are safe. What a wonderful promise, knowing that we are not righteous in our own power or strength, but we are righteous only in You when we come to Your Son, Jesus Christ, the Rock of our Salvation. And by our faith in Jesus, and not through any good works we may do are we saved. Therefore, we put the whole of our trust in You, Jesus, for You said that You are the only way, truth, and life, and that no one can come to the Father except in and through You. Although we may be weak and poor, all we have is You, and You are enough. May your grace and mercy be poured out on us today. AMEN
