Thought For Today: Jesus Our Foundation

“For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:11)

The definition of foundation means not only the base by which a building sets and is built upon, but also the beginning, that which is the first or essential principle from which everything derives.

Jesus is the foundation, that which the church and a believer’s life is set and built upon. He is also the beginning from which God’s grace and mercy derives. Jesus is the essential principle and base from which salvation and the gospel message emanates.
