A Scripture and a Prayer: “God’s New Thing”
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Prayer
Lord, what a precious promise this is, that You want to do a new thing in our lives, and how You will make the brokenness of our past into a road leading into the future, along with a river to bring our desolate soul back to life. But, for this to take place we must be willing to put away and no longer consider and remember who we were before, or those things that have been done by us or to us. But while we are more than willing, it is hard to do it on our own. Therefore, we humbly ask for Your help to remove these snares, traps, and prison bars that hold us to the past, and move us into the future that You have in store. And how glorious that future will be. And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
