God of the Impossible

Today’s 333 Devotional: “God of the Impossible”

Nothing is outside the realm of possibility when it comes to God.

Do you believe this?

Maybe you once believed this to be true, but now things have progressed too far in your situation and now you’re not quite sure.

Abraham’s testimony reads, “Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead–since he was about a hundred years old–and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.” (Romans 4:19)

It says against all hope in hope Abraham believed, but what about Sarah? It says that when she heard she was going to have a child in her old age she laughed in disbelief. And God said, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14)

It would seem the older Sarah got, the more impossible having children seemed.

Unfortunately, this is the way it is with most of us. We believe nothing is impossible with God, but when it comes to our situation things have simply progressed beyond our belief and hope that God can intervene.

It’s as if we believe God up to a point, but no further. How many of us no longer call out to the Lord because we think that our problem, condition, or situation is hopeless?

All of us face difficult situations in life and we are faced with this question.

“Do we really believe that God is the God of the impossible?”

Do we really believe that God can fix our problem? Do we believe that God can heal our disease, finances, or relationship? Do we believe that God can restore and revive what we consider to be dead?

Jesus said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” (Luke 18:27)

Do we believe that God is able?

Hold on to God. Beyond all hope in hope believe. Don’t stop trusting God. He is able. God is the God of the impossible. Nothing is outside the realm of possibility when it comes to God.
