God Isn’t Finished With Us

Today’s 333 Devotional: “God Isn’t Finished With Us”

If we’re ready to give up on God, then know this that God isn’t ready to give up on us. With everything coming against us in life, God wants us to know that He still has great and wonderful plans for our lives.

We may not sense this reality because of what we’re going through at the moment, or what we’ve been going through for some time. Maybe we have an illness or disease. Maybe we’re financially in trouble, or we’re relationally devastated. But God can still do great things through us.

The Apostle Paul knew and experienced this reality. Somewhere in his journeys he contracted a debilitating disease that kept him from doing what he thought he needed to do, but the Lord told him differently.

“Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:8-10)

While jailed in Rome the Apostle Paul wrote, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

No matter what we’re going through, God isn’t finished with us. How do I know, because we’re still here and reading this devotional?

Consider these words Jesus spoke to the believers in Philadelphia. “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” (Revelation 3:8)

God has great plans for our lives, plans to prosper us, and to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

God isn’t finished with us yet.
